This refers to the process where Quadrant compares individuals and their level of competence training when determining likely candidates for different supervisory roles. They are able to preview a position title or site change and analyse and address training discrepancies before making the change.

Glencore – Competency verification

Competency verification

Site access for personnel is dependent on the candidate being able to prove they are competent to complete their work safely. This includes the candidate supplying various documents and licences which then need to be verified by the site host. For Glencore’s Queensland coal operations, Cell-media provided a system that allows contractors to easily upload photo identification, medical clearance, test results and proof of competency. Glencore can now expect contractors to arrive on site already verified and ready to start work.

Such a high turnover of visitors and contractors on ECU’s various campuses could be seen as an insurance nightmare. However, Cell-media’s TRMS produced for ECU allows the University to collect and verify the insurance particulars of personnel, ensuring all contractors are insured when on campus.
